Basketball shoot-out

This was a short, but very fun project. For March Madness (College Basketball Playoffs), Google always provides special pages to follow all the activity around the tournament. They came to us to develop a simple HTML5 Basketball shoot-out game that was embedded in those pages as an easter egg. Mini-games like these are great for experimenting and pushing browsers to the limits of performance. The game plays we came up with was quite simple, a user had 30 seconds to toss balls into the hoop and got scores accordingly. What made it fun was the physics engine I developed, which had realistically bouncing balls and a net that was deformed in real-time as the balls came in touch with it. Along with a very playful design and transition effects, it was a fun experience.
